Our Hardy Country Partners, Dorset County Museum, University of Exeter, National Trust, Thomas hardy Society and Kingston Maurward College are pleased to present the 2018/19 Thomas Hardy Public Lecture Series. Join them for informative and entertaining lectures on the celebrated Dorset writer and poet in the heart of Hardy Country.


The significance of ‘things’ and what they reveal of real lives and places, and the world of Hardy’s imagination.


Helen Gibson is Honorary Curator of the Thomas Hardy Collection in the Dorset County Museum. She was involved in writing the successful bid for the inscription of the Hardy Archive and Collection to the UNESCO memory of the World Register of Important Literary Heritage. Helen holds an MA in English Literature from the University of Kent. She is Vice-President of the Thomas Hardy Society.
